Came here once again to buy a large fruit tart cake($25). i called the order in. i got there and waited less than five minutes and I was in and out. the owner was there and remembered me. she greeted me with a smile. i love this place because everything is baked freshly. and if you have an issue, the owner will gladly do her best to make it right. customer service is #1 here. personally,
I find it to be cheap. and its open 8am-8pm everyday, can't beat that.

Baklava is a nice treat once in a while, but not a daily thing for me, unless I have a need to be diabetic. Saw this little store recently and finally decided to go in. There are a few tables nicely dressed in red for the holidays. The store is small, but not cluttered. The display case was not entirely full, but had enough baklavas to choose from. Most are walnuts or pistachios, with a couple of almond ones.
The girl behind the counter was very nice, so thumbs up for service. They also make custom cakes it seems. Go to the left side counter to see a few samples, such as a Chanel cake for your fashion whore friend's b-day. How about something for a guy, like a car or a case of cigars?
I only got 4 to try and avoid a sugar induced heart attack. $1. each regardless of which one, but the girl says it's 9 bucks for a pound, which translates to roughly a dozen little sweet treats. Good deal, but need to wait for backup to show up and help me devour them. So.... maybe next time.

Baklava Land... who knew there was such a land?! Apparently, there is.......in the Ralph's shopping center in Duarte. (just opened summer of 2012) I absolutely LOVE baklava! Although I've had some that weren't good at all.. either too sweet, too sticky, too dry.
I sampled four kinds of baklava from here so far. I've also tried a slice of their red velvet cake and custard layered cake. Wow, the custard cake had flaky layers with custard in between. The red velvet cake was moist and a light frosting. The lady assisting us was very helpful.
For Monrovia/Arcadia locals, you'll find coupons in the coupon book. They usually have coupons for $5 off if you purchase a certain amount or Buy 4, Get 1 Free Baklava.
